Change in leadership at Saarstahl Rail: Dr. Dennis Stindt to succeed Dr. Nadine Artelt

Hayange, France – The rail rolling mill Saarstahl Rail, a company of the Saarstahl Group, has restructured its management: Dr. Dennis Stindt assumed the position of President on 1 June 2026. He succeeds Dr. Nadine Artelt, who stepped down from the helm of the company and has been serving as Sales Director at Saarstahl Aktiengesellschaft since April of last year.

“Nadine Artelt has played a decisive role in the development of Saarstahl Rail through her dedicated work over the past years. She has successfully positioned the company in the ‘green’ rail sector on global markets,” said Daniël Nicolaas van der Hout, member of the Executive Board, responsible for sales at Saarstahl, and Executive Board member in charge of Saarstahl Rail, in recognition of her achievements.

Nadine Artelt will maintain her ties to the rail business segment. In her role as Sales Director at Saarstahl AG, she will continue putting her many years of market and customer expertise to use in rail sales and will be responsible for sales activities together with Dennis Stindt.

Dennis Stindt has many years of experience in the steel industry and has held various leadership roles in the areas of transformation, finance, operational excellence, and business excellence. Since April 2025, the 42-year-old has headed the Saarstahl Ascoval electric steelworks in Saint Saulve, which supplies the CO₂-reduced crude steel for rail production at Saarstahl Rail. He will be leading an experienced management team in Hayange, with support from Gijs Picard (Director of Finance and Administration), Adrien De Bastos (Plant Manager), and Dominique Chiesura (Sales Director).

With Dennis Stindt assuming responsibility for Saarstahl Rail, the “green rail” business model will be further developed across corporate sites. Activities at both sites will in future be even more closely interwoven and strategically aligned as an integrated supply chain.

“Our clear goal is to ensure that both locations are well-positioned for the future and to continue impressing our customers with top-quality, sustainable products,” emphasized Dennis Stindt. “Our mission remains the same: We see ourselves not merely as a supplier, but as a reliable partner in producing customized solutions for the mobility transition.”
